We are proud to announce that Prof. Dr. Egemen Avcu, Coordinator of the Surface Treatment Laboratory at Kocaeli University, has been honored with the prestigious TÜBA-GEBIP Outstanding Young Scientist Award presented by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA)!
The award was presented by H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, during the TÜBA and TÜBİTAK Science Awards Ceremony. The TÜBA-GEBIP Award is one of the most distinguished scientific awards in Türkiye, recognizing outstanding young researchers for their excellence in scientific research, innovation, and contributions to the advancement of science and technology.
Prof. Dr. Avcu has made significant contributions to the fields of advanced engineering materials, powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing, surface engineering, and manufacturing technologies through his pioneering research, high-impact scientific publications, and successful national and international collaborations. His achievements have strengthened the scientific reputation of Kocaeli University, while contributing to the advancement of materials science and engineering on a global scale.
